とある海外のアーティストに「everglow」という曲がある。
"永遠の光"という意味を示す造語のその曲を

綺麗なメロディと優しい歌声に惹き込まれ

すぐにお気に入りとなった。

この歌の世界を理解しようと、

ある日、アーティスト本人のインタビュー記事を目にする。

「人や物や出来事の喪失からは悲しみだけが残るわけではなく

素晴らしい思い出や楽しい思い出=光輝くものもまたあるのだ。

"思い出の温かさ"から生まれたのが"everglow"」なのだと。

それは「喜びの燃え殻」であると。

どうやら私にはこの言葉がスッと腑に落ち、

この響きと共に余計愛着を持つこととなる。

これから出会う人、すでに出会っている人

みなさんと仕事を通してひとつのものを作り上げる中で

私自身が表現するものもまた

誰かの中でいつまでも光り輝くもの=everglowになってほしい。

そしてずっと残り続ける喜びの燃え殻になってくれたら
そう願いを込めて"everglouu"はうまれました。
